The Kirby Achievement Master Quest is an ongoing video series produced by AntDude and edited by me! RetroAchievements, for those that don't know, is a fan community rising in popularity dedicated to building their own Achievement sets for classic games released before Achievement systems became common. In each video, Ant chronicles his journey to acquire every Achievement in every classic Kirby game complete with all the highs and lows in addition to whatever interesting trivia or other commentary comes to mind.
Ant provided me with a brand package, a sample edit of the first episode's introduction, and a lot of creative freedom to flesh everything out into a full series. I wanted to be clever and economical with how to adapt some of his existing assets to a visual style for the show, and I love what we came up with.
I was particularly proud of this ongoing Kirby series timeline visual aid.
The Kirby Master Quest is a light and fun series, yet loaded up interesting commentary and edits to keep the pace moving and grooving. Ant has a great sense of humor and I believe injecting my own humor to amplify his voice has greatly improved my ability to facilitate comedic pacing.
